Too Much Smoke, Not Enough Effect

DOSE:
4 leaves smoked Salvia divinorum (leaves)
BODY WEIGHT: 160 lb
Disappointing First Try

I had been considering buying some Salvia, but it turned out that a friend had some. I had tried to smoke it once before, but I hadn't been able to cope with the volume of the smoke from a pipe. This time, I decided to use a bong.

I quickly smoked about four leaves, which was more than enough, according to my friend who was sitting. I noticed a slight 'trippiness' to the experience and I certainly had a physical feeling of having a hallucinogen in me, not dissimilar to the head rush on mushrooms or LSD. But I really didn't go anywhere. His computer screen looked a bit more interesting, but that was about it.

After those subtle, but somewhat pleasant effects had worn off, I walked around for the next half hour feeling like my brain was in a vice. I remember muttering 'Get out of my head!' as I tried to go about my business.

I don't think I'm going to experiment with Salvia again. Too much smoke, not enough effect.
