Well, I have struggled with my addiction to heroin for 3 years. In the past two years I have two months clean. Today I have been clean for 3 weeks. The sad thing is that I want dope today more then I did a year ago, even with the horrible effects it has had on my life.

As I heard someone say, 'don't try heroin, because you will like it'. And when it comes down to it, if one likes it, and doesn't stop, one will become addicted.

I spent most of my years snorting it. I am from Baltimore, and we have really good raw heroin. But eventually I began shooting raw heroin.

For me, heroin was the ultimate mood stabilizer. If I had dope, I was in a good mood. I not have a bad day without out (even though my bills where unpaid, phone turned off, and eventually jobless. ) Then every day was a bad day, waking up sick until I got a dose.

I am a college grad, professional- a decent person at heart. But heroin's grasp on me turned me into a lieing, flakey person, who really couldn't be relied on.
