Once while doing several canisters of whippits (before they became illegal locally) and while watching a compilation of Abba videos (seemed a good match at the time), I became convinced that, as I was inhaling and exhaling through the balloon, that if I could make the balloon burst, that I would initiate a cosmic collusion resulting in my death. As I was inhaling and exhaling deeply, I saw a small black dot in my field of vison. I somehow peered inside and recognized that this dot was my death. I am a fairly sober guy, and tend to downplay events (often to a fault), but this vivid experience sticks with me to this day, as it (the black dot) had such a visceral organic sense to it. As if it was always there, kind of looming. Forgive me if this is the wrong forum, but I really believe in that 'tomato tomaato' adage, and although this wasn't a life changing experience, I found it to be quite substantive and worth sharing. I didn't find it scary: I was exposed to a lot of religious symbolism as a child, and have little fear of death as a concept.Love and optimism.
