Last Fourth of July I decided to stay home rather than go with my parents to visit relatives. Very shortly after my parents left, being bored and without any marijuana, I walked to the store and bought a 6-pack of beer. I couldn't remember the last time I had actually gotten drunk off of beer, but I decided to give it another shot. I started chugging and drank three 16 oz. beers in about 20 minutes.

I was just starting to feel a little funny when my friend V came. I forgot I was supposed to go over her girlfriend's house for a barbecue. By the time I left the house and got in the car, I was already thoroughly wasted. I was awake enough to smoke a cigarette and drink a fourth beer, but I barely made it out of the car at her house. I spoke to people I don't remember, sat down and started smoking a blunt they were passing around. I think by sheer willpower I managed not to retreat to the bathroom to hurl until the blunt was gone.

The bathroom was spinning violently, but closing my eyes only made the spinning worse. After a little while I realized I was still getting drunker, so I puked 3 times, returned to the party, and passed out for 3 hours. I woke up with a hell of a headache, and had to go back home in a couple hours feeling like shit. If I'm gonna drink like that again, I'll have to do it in private, and definitely more slowly.
