I searched the internet and couldn't find any specific information on the dosage of this drug, however I DID find the only experience report on barbiturates talked about butalibital/apap, so I knew it was possible to attain some sort of intoxication on these pills, however I feared the potentital repercussions, seeing that whole experience just talked about the death of the author's liver thanks to the said substance.

So, I decided to experiment. I figured if I started with the reccomended dose (1 pill), them waited and noted effects for a while, I could then take another if I felt it was necessary. I ended up taking 3 and aside from some mild relaxation (which may have been my mind playing tricks on me) and a mild headache for a few minutes (ironic, seeing this IS headache medicine), there were distinguishable effects.

Here is my log I was writing in while taking these shitty pills:

10:35: 1 tablet quala-cet 50mg butalbital/325mg acetominophen/40mg caffiene
Clear mind about test. Feeling healthy, but a bit tired. Awaiting effects, especially seeing I don't know what/when they will be..

10:38: feeling kinda 'altered' definitely the placebo effect.

10:57: still no distinct effects yet. Feel a 'pressure' headache, sort of, but not really. Might be the caffiene, seeing I almost never have caffiene.

11:20: still no apparent effect. I'm going to take another...

11:21 : took another one

11:32: some relaxation, maybe

11:34 : somewhat altered feeling in head kinda, like almost being high, I guess... I suck at describing shit.

11:35: definintely something kicking in. I can feel myself relaxing and pain is fading away. I don't really want to sit up any more

11:38: kinda clumsy, kinda hard time making sense in sentences, more relaxed, want more

11:46 nothing more, but I want to take another, but I'll wait another 10 or 15 minutes atleast...

11:53: almost 15 minutes...

11:57: slight dry/sore throat. Kinda like when on amphetamines

12:01: I think I'm going to take another...

12:02 yup, took another... Still no distinguishable feelings, aside from that temporary relaxation

12:04 heart pain, which happens sometimes, but scared the fuck outta me

12:05 I want to be high, but not really feeling much

12:44: still ain't really feeling shit. Kinda uncoordinated at times and forgetful and relaxed, but probably all in my mind...

12:56 : dangit

9:17: no effects that I really noticed. Perhaps I should have taken more, but I'm not planning on it....

Please note, if you haven't noticed already, I don't really structure my sentences too well because I'm a lazy fuck and I use ellipses (...) quite frequently. These weren't caused by the drug, this is a normal behavior of mine. Even analyzing the text after the experience, I can see that my mind was barely altered, if it was at all.

In conclusion, it's pretty obvious I still have no clue how much I should have taken. Due to the apap, I must limit my intake so its level never goes too high, seeing how it's very hard on your liver and toxic at high levels. I could have easily taken a lot more regardless. The dosage information I did find on barbiturates, said that most of them are taken in ranges of 30-250mg either at a time, or daily. Which one of those it is depends upon whether it is a short, intermediate, or long acting barb. Butalbital is an intermediate. I don't think I'll try these again, unless I get some solid information on dosing and such.
