My friend and I purchased a gram of Salvia from a local headshop looking forward to a new experience. Two of our friends with us had previously tried Salvia only to come out with bad experiences. Despite their trying to scare us, we decided to not waste the 20 dollars we paid for it. We packed a nice sized slide and proceeded in hitting a bong. I took one large hit, and held it in for about 20 seconds. What happened next I really never expected. I suppose I wasn’t ready for how powerful Salvia actually is. Things started distancing themselves from me and I started getting that weird feeling I usually get when a mushroom trip is about to start. Then everything changed. My body disappeared, I did not have a body. The world was not as it usually was, there were new rules. Life was a continuous changing pattern.

The people in the car tried in vane to talk to me during me 10-15 second trip. I thought I was being punished by the gods of the world for something, of what I did not know, by being made to no longer have a body and experience these very odd shaped changing patterns

which were actually made up of the people and objects around me. I didn’t know what was going on, because I did not remember ever trying the Salvia until after the trip was over. I didn’t like the continuous pattern of the life around me, I wanted my old life back, my old body back, and I didn’t know where I was. So I started saying stop, and the patterns started getting more normal. So I said stop continually about 10 times in a row until the intense trip ended and I was able to realize what had just happened to me. I essentially got ran over by a drug I should have known more about before I tried. For the next 30 minutes I felt pretty well stoned.
