I am 22 years old, and I believe I may have a problem with alcohol. I have only been drinking since I joined the military nearly 4 years ago( Joined right out of high school) and once I was in the military it seems like the thing to do. I mean, every hard-ass I know drinks hard. It is a sign of toughness. Now, I am nearly out of the military ( 4 year enlistment) ,and my fiance is asking me why I drink every night, and why I don't see a problem with it. I can't think of anything that makes any sense to say. I mean...I just feel like it's normal after this long, but she asks me, ' are you going to drink like this when we are married with a child to raise?' and honestly I can't say 'definitely not' because I feel like I just...need a drink. ( funny, she called me while I was typing this to ask if I was still drinking. )

I started to drink for fun...then every couple days...then every other day...then everyday. Alcohol weaseled into my everyday life.
