Well, I was prescribed this for occasionally bouts of being unable to get to sleep. I take it on an empty stomach, it kicks in after 10 minutes and I go into REM sleep. Me, I found myself having the most lucid, realistic dreams I had for awhile, ALL NIGHT LONG. This is a downside for some people, but it still felt like I was getting a good nights rest. This is an excellent solution for occasionall problems getting to sleep.

Now..as for recreational use. Im on 10mg on an empty stomach right now, feeling slightly drunk, and having trouble finding the right keys. But its okay that Im mistyping, because it makes you feel so laid back. The first time you take it ever, you might have visual obstractions...you mostly see double. The first time is definitely the strongest. Now, Ive spaced out my dosages while I was experimenting so I didnt become immune to it, which is a danger with this drug. Ive tried, 15, 20, and 25 mixed with alcohol.

At 5mgs, this is enough to perk my feelings, and enough to use to get to sleep. (IE: Proper use for what it was intended for)

On 10 mgs: I feel drunk, loss of motor skills similiar to being drunk. Still thinking clearly. Wouldnt do anything I wouldnt normally do. Its hard to focus on the screen to type.

15-20 - Get very giggly. Would do things I normally wouldnt. Percieve shape and visual hallucinations in a pitch black dark area. Mild Amnesia the day after at these levels.

25+alcohol. - The night before has many black out periods I simply dont remember, or barely remember. Person taking care of me told me I passed out in the bedroom soon as we got back from the party at 4:30 and I could not be woken up. Dont lose control of yourself and decide to mix this stuff with alochol at such high doses.

I've mixed it with weed once, but I was so far gone on the ambien that I didnt really think of how to describe the feelings. It was a nice mixture. Safe and responsible ambien use is possible. I don't like to drink with it or try to mix it with other drugs, it doesnt need it. Oh yes, and sniffing it doesnt do anything different either. I tried that just to dispel the myth.
