DOSE:
  repeated   Methamphetamine (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 140 lb
I call them the 'lost' years....I was instantly hooked in 1992 after one try and used daily until Dec 31, 2004. I am a working professional woman, 49 years old and this drug very nearly ruined my life. I am sure I would still be using today if not for the fact that my sister/dealer is now serving time in prison for sales of a controlled substance and I was too embarrassed at my age to search for a new dealer. I successfully hid this addiction from my son, my employer and friends (except for those using friends) and am soooo lucky nothing catastrophic happended to me (yet) as a result of this extended longterm use. I have been clean almost 6 months now and with the help of God I will be clean for the rest of my life. At first when I started using, I was sure the quality of my work was so improved, I lost weight, had boundless energy...but it didn't take long (maybe 1 year) for me to have memory loss, have to repeat tasks over and over, gain weight back and just generally spin in circles while accomplishing nothing. The first few weeks of quitting were not fun, but I feel great today, happy to be free of it and looking forward to whatever life has in store for me UNAIDED!
