A few friends of mine and I are nuts about reading about new drugs and trying them, especially if we can buy it at a store. We heard that this salvia was legal, so decided to give it a shot. We drove to the porn shop an hour away and bought a gram bag of 13x stuff. We got to a friend's house and asked him if we could try it there. He consented and I preceded to pack a small amount of weed in the bottom of my bowl, just enough to cover the hole. I sprinkled a small amount of salvia on top of this. We can't smoke in his house though, so another buddy of mine and I step out on to the back balcony. He is sitting on the railing, I am in the only chair, and several others crowd around. None of us had tried it before, so they wanted to see what happened to me.

Hitting the bowl at about 6:00 pm, I immediately was overwhelmed by the experience. I was surprised at how smooth the smoke was, because I am used to the hacking from weed, and I took a large toke. It was surprisingly easy to hold in. As soon as I exhaled, the first thing I noticed was that it felt as if something was pulling on the side of my jaw, right beneath the ear where the bone hinges. The exact opposite of an out of body experience, pulling myself inward. Then I noticed how the trees were changing. The back yard has really dense trees, almost a solid wall of green. Suddenly this changed and it appeared to be a real, physical, imprisoning wall that I was right up against. It had the appearence of the numbers on the matrix movies, except I saw white where there is black. Then everyone was staring at me. All I distinctly remember seeing these people laghing at me and me being scared and not at all prepared for what I was getting myself into. All I saw of my 'friends' was their heads floating in the foreground with the green/white flying by. And the brightly colored bowl on my lap. This only lasted a minute or two, but felt like forever.

Things gradually slowed down, the visuals were gone, but I knew I was not yet baseline. There was something still off. As I smoked my cigarette, having not yet moved, I stared contemplatively at the leaves. I suddenly found myself thinking I could step off the railing onto a solid geen hill or something. This struck me as odd, because this is the first time I have ever wanted to do something so blatently impossible, but yet, somehow it was possible.

All in all, I only smoked half the quarter gram I bought, the rest consumed later that night but with no effects noticable. I had been smoking weed by then, so I didn't notice effects, except a slight tug on my jaw. I still haven't found the other half of the stuff. I lost it somewhere along the line. That is okay though, because there was absolutely no way I was prepared to handle the intensity of the experience.
