I have read the other experiences online and I must say I strongly disagree with reports that these patches do not produce any kind of euphoric feeling. I have used Oxycontin for about 3 years now, and have an extremely high tolerance for any kind of opiates. I usually have to do between 80 and 100 mg of Oxy to produce a euphoric effect. But these patches work wonders. About a month ago I had been unable to obtain any opiates for around 5 days and was feeling withdrawal symptoms really bad. Cold sweats, joint pain, vomiting, diahrea, could not sleep, it was great. So finally, I got ahold of one 100 ug/h 10 mg fentanyl patch, and I was very skeptical about using it, I just didnt know if it would work or not. I cut in into fourths and ate all of the gel out of one of the pieces and chewed on it for a good 5 minutes. At first I felt nothing, and it did take a little time to come on. It definitely crept up on me. After about 10-15 minutes I noticed that my pains were all gone, and I began to relax. After about 20-25 minutes I began to get that nice warm feeling running up my spine and exploding in a tingling sensation all across my body. Everything took on a nice rosy hue after that, I couldn't help but have a smile on my face, and it felt as if everything was right. Complete euphoria. This feeling lasted a couple of hours, or atleast until I fell asleep very peacefully that night. The next morning I woke up in a great mood and went about my business still feeling fine. So I believe these patches are great for that euphoric feeling, the only downfall is that the onset takes a little longer than most opiates.
