I recently lived in the lovely area of San Diego. While attending high school there I started experimenting with drugs in vast amounts. Way too many psychedelics, and I've been addicted to meth and cocaine, and kicked both habits cold turkey. But it wasn't until Feb. 2005 that I had a chance to play around with 'K' a lot. I had tried it once before when I was 14 and absolutely loved it.

It's in Feb of my senior year I find myself fronted a QP of some super dank herbals to sell and had some change to spare. So me and two buddies decide to go to Tijuana for a 'K' run. I took me about 30 minutes to go across the border, get the stuff, and cross back over...no questions asked by customs (I'm white so they dont hassle me, racists). We raced to my house, which was convieniently located about 10 minutes from the border, and heated the liquid 'K' down in my microwave. The ending product was 2.5 grams of powder with a slight orange tint to it. My friends had to cut out, so I kicked them down with .25 grams each and smoked some herbals until later that night.

I decided to test the potency of my batch little by little. I snorted 2 lines, about .05 grams each, and waited. I started to feel a bit floaty in about five minutes...ten minutes, my vision seems to be trying to split. I was if my eyes were trying to divide themselves into another pair of eyes, but could never fully split them, they got stuck halfway. I was having a lot of trouble making out objects, they were distorted to the point were it felt like I had been punched in the nose and my eyes swelled with water, minus the punch in the face.

The next night, I went more into the 'hole,' snorting a single line of .3 grams...I started to experiment with the effects, trying to 'will' certain things to happen with my trip...but to no avail, typical 'K' trip.

The third night was something out of a science fiction movie that I still to this day have trouble explaining the effects of this trip. I was watching the movie 'The Messenger' starring Milla Jojavich, some flick about Joan of Arc. I decided to go for a really good trip...so I snorted two fat lines about .25 grams each. The movie got very weird, and somewhere in the coarse of it all, I snorted another two lines about .15 each. At this point I cant remember all of my perceptions, but I'll try my best.

I started to lose sight of the movie, mostly due to my hearing becoming very selective...I would only hear certain character voices at certain times, and I dont remember hearing any background music in the film at all (and there is background music in it). At one point I had a full 360 degree view around my cranium...It's hard to even imagine, I know, but I assume it has something to due with third-eye activity. I also perceived a very real and scary tactile, auditorial, and third-eye visual hallucination of a parasite (much like those in Resident Evil 0) swimming around the lining of my brain...it was so intensely vivid and convincing, I could feel the parasite crawling in my head. I had to talk myself away from the idea, proving extremely difficult, but eventually that particular hallucination subsided.

I gradually finished up the rest of my ketamine the following two days at home and school. All in all it was a fun week, but then came noticable, creepy after-effects of my binge. For months after this, in fact, until recently I had been seeing what I referred to as 'ketamine people' walking around in my peripheral view . Ketamine people appeared to me as black silouettes of humans, but felt more like supernatural entities consorting around me. I can see how some might be convinced that these 'K' creatures are aliens, but I'm too use to alternate reality to believe that aliens are only visible through the retinas of ketamined eyes.

All in all, I would do 'K' again, but never to the extent I took it. It is a strange drug, with even stranger effects. I wouldn't necessarily consider it a recreational drug, most people around S.D. would call you a 'fiend' for using 'K.' It caused some serious semi-permanent weirdness in my life afterward on a day-to-day basis for 4 to 5 months after tripping one too many times in a short amount of time. I would be cautious with this one.
