My vet provided two 5mg tablets for my kittens after their surgery. I wondered if Torbutrol was anything like Ketamine and looked it up online. There was an experience submission that had given Torbutrol a scary review and I was willing to sacrifice my brain to help others decide if they would enjoy Torbutrol.

I ate dinner and 45 minutes later I insufflated 5mg as I sat at my computer. The drip is unsavory but tolerable. I didn't feel anything after 30 minutes so I got ready for bed. I stood up and felt disoriented and realized that it had taken effect. I finished off the last 3mg and enjoyed a light dissociative feeling (like being tired, drink, and dizzy). Nothing too harsh.

I tried my best to maintain a positive attitude (because of advice given by another user saying it caused paranoia and panic) and started writing some papers for work when suddenly I became very nauseous. I decided it was time for bed but I needed to go to the bathroom first. I stood for 5 minutes unable to urinate. I sat for 5 minutes unable to urinate. I went to bed full of piss.

I woke up the next morning with a sore nose and a strong urge to urinate. 10 minutes later I had an empty bladder. I felt like I had a hang over. A bad hang over. But I never vomited or lost my sense of reality.

After breakfast I felt fine.

Final thoughts: My cats had their uterises removed and were given Torbutrol for the pain. One would get a cleaner dissociative feeling from wine. Let the cats have their pain pills.
