Bypassing the Sinus
Methadone & Methylphenidate
Citation:   Whuzerd. "Bypassing the Sinus: An Experience with Methadone & Methylphenidate (exp55468)". Erowid.org. Apr 10, 2018. erowid.org/exp/55468

DOSE:
30 mg insufflated Methadone (ground / crushed)
BODY WEIGHT: 208 lb
I have had a bad knee since I smashed it while a grunt in the Army, back in '74. Service connected since then, it finally got bad enough to require a joint replacement in 2003. I've had several surgeries over the years, it got bad enough to ask for some pain pills in 2000. I won't get into my history or addictions, suffice it to say that after a year, I had to ask the doc to get me off the Oxycontin. The withdrawal was too bad for an old hippie like me (50). Just because I am who I am, I would run out of my script a week to 10 days before the next, and those were some bad days.

I've been on Methadone for over a year, and after some screwing around with that, I have it down to 30mgs 3 times a day. Only I snort it. Its the only way I have found to get it to work right away and to be straight, I like the rush. What I've noticed is it doesn't seem to go into my sinus any more...just straight into my lungs. Not good.

I have another surgery next week to put in another joint (#3), and don't see me being able to get pain free anytime soon.
