Had tried several preparations of kava in the past but couldn't get over the soapy taste. Got some caps online (30% kavalactone extractnicely priced at $9/30) took two and the wife and I watched a movie and had two beers.

Background: I'm mid-forties in decent shape, but due to injury and disability I've been recently unemployed, in chronic pain and a bit depressed. The sex has not been great lately, in part due to the opiate painkillers, so we've tried Viagra etc. In hopes of getting off of the opiates, I thought I'd give the Kava a try.

Result: a nice body relaxation with analgesia, without much loss of higher brain function, much like the feeling of after a good massage. A bonus side effect was the sex was great (four times!) and unlike V which just gets me hard, it was a total body experience, bringing back some of the urgency and passion of youth - it probably helped that the movie we saw centered around teenage sex and romance to get us in the mood.

I will be using this again!
