It happened two nights ago. Well, it was the early evening…let me take you on a trip.
It was a freak winter day of about 60 degrees. I spent the beginning part of my day on the back of a bike, a motor bike. The speed, the adrenaline, everything about it is amazing. My sister Jennifer, my best friend Gina and myself cruised with around five of our male friends without a care in the world, except of how much it would hurt to fall. After about two hours we decided it was time for a rest. The day was Saturday so we needed some down time before the evening.
I had called my good friend John earlier for some V’s, figured it would help with some of the minor pains of grasping onto the bike and would help get me to my desired state of intoxication a little quicker. Little did I know, John was bringing something else along with him.
As Jennifer and Gina went out for some night riding, I stayed behind to chill with John, smoke some bowls, and pick up the vics. Trust me, this starts to get interesting. So John and his cousin Ryan come over, we had some small chit-chat with my parents downstairs then made our way to my room upstairs. John then introduced me to Salvia. Now, what is Salvia? At the time I had no idea. It looked like ashy weed in a vile. John told me he bought it from funtasia and it was legal, with that in mind I didn’t think much of it. They told me it was a psychedelic, which can mean only one thing to most people but to people who have done psychedelics that is a very general statement.
My mind state while taking a rip of the bong was that I would feel goofy, maybe see some trails, maybe some colors, possibly hallucinate. What happened next…fucked me and the rest of my night completely up.
I fell. I fell into a land. I was not in my room anymore and I didn’t know where John and Ryan were, shit, I didn’t even know Ryan and John existed. There were people in my world, but I didn’t know them. I was lying on the floor of a fun house that had no walls, no boundaries. The floor was soft with no texture but I was trying to hold on to it. Behind me and ahead of me were rolls of bubble gum sticks and for some reason I was terrified of them. The people in this Bubble-Gum land were higher then me, they were looking down to me and trying to grab me and pull me up. This confused me because in order to get out I had to go under but the people of this world wanted me to go up. They spoke like they were tacky commercial people trying to sell me something…I think they even might have been wanting to sell me Windex to be honest (the TV. was on in my room and I could hear it during the trip). I wanted to leave and I wanted to go home. I remember screaming “NO” and “Help me!” I was able to talk in the land but moving, I felt like if I let go…it was over. I was awake in a dream.
Now that I’m really thinking about it, the two men in my world had to been John and Ryan because they were both brunette and they both were trying to help. Coming out of it felt like being born. I had to go under to get out…there was no other way. I felt like my eyes had been shut and I was waking up…still I didn’t recognize my room, John or Ryan and I couldn’t talk. I was petrified still for the next couple of minutes after the trip. And I didn’t tell Ryan or John because I didn’t want them to worry, but I honestly wanted to cry and cry and cry when I woke up. And one of my first coherent thoughts and statements was “I want to leave this room”. My room honestly scared the crap out of me.
After speaking to John and Ryan they told me I tripped for a total of 2 minutes…which was out of this world because I swore it was at least 15 minutes. They said they knew I was tripping because I wasn’t smiling…I’m normally a very smiley person but let me remind you I was absolutely terrified during this trip. They had to hold me down, rub my back and they told me they were saying “Its o.k. you’re just tripping out.” I don’t remember any of this, I couldn’t hear them in my world, I couldn’t see them, and I couldn’t feel them…I was alone in a bubble-gum world. At one point I looked at the television and yelled “STOP”, which must had been me telling the voices to stop because I have nothing against my television. And remember me saying I couldn’t move in my world? Well apparently I was mobile in reality because I started on the floor, I was on my bed but I woke up in my chair.
After about 20 minutes and speaking about our experience the boys went on with there night and I went night riding. I was so happy to be alive and when asked if I want to do some Salvia. I will respond with “Been there, done that…and I am NOT going back.”
