I done more than my fair share of opiate abuse. I have made an effort to abstain for the past 18 months, but I sprained my ankle and fell victim to their pain relieving (killing) powers. I got some several tramadol 50mg pills and a couple codeine from a friend.

I have taken 200mg now on three separate occasions. I do not have an unusually high tolerance as I haven't used opiates in quite a while, but still the non-opiate tramadol was a big disappointment. I guess it did help with physical pain like aspirin might, but the buzz was nothing to talk about. The very small amount of codeine I took the day earlier put me much closer to the nod than four tramadol ever did.
