I had taken Salvia 2 times before with little to no effects at all, let alone negative ones, so when my friend wanted to try smoking it I didn't see why upping the ante to 20x rather than the 10x I had done before would be a problem.

I decided to go first so my friend could see what happens to a person while on the substance. We were sitting in his room, listening to music. The room was well lit and comfortable. I took the hit and handed my pipe to him while I was still holding the smoke in my lungs (so I would not drop and break it while under the influence). After I exhaled I leaned back and my vision began to get blurry. Then blackness. About 2 minutes of my life are missing here, I completely blacked out.

I awoke, looking around frantically. My friend was asking me if I was alright, but I couldn't even look at him or focus on anything. Everything looked like it was made out of wood. I started trying to focus on the music and the lyrics of the song seemed to be describing everything that was going on, so I shouted at my friend to shut it off.

I was so confused. I didn't remember taking the hit or even going over to my friends house, so I didn't understand why I was there or why I was so messed up. It was terrifying to say the least. I eventually came to my senses and remembered taking the drug, but that fear that I had for a good 2-3 minutes will stay with me forever.

I wish I could offer a more detailed version of my experience, but like I said, I blacked out. All I know is that it wasn't pleasant and I will probably never smoke salvia again as a result.
