This medication has a chance in some percentage of the population of causing psychotic episodes. I didn't know this, and I knew it could be prescribed for pain, so I took it. Well, I ended up thinking that god was talking to me through my dead grandmother's paintbrushes. I ended up in the ER, thinking I had won a contest and would be rich for the rest of my life. I was telling the nurses and doctors that I knew about 'the money'. At some point, I thought that I was Martha Stewart and I was yelling at everyone that they weren't doing anything right, that the hospital decor was all wrong. Upon coming down, I thought that another patient was my brother, and that he had painted himself like a black person and that I was having his baby.

I remember a nurse having to give me a shot of ativan and she had 2 police officers hold me down, she was crying, and I was screaming. there was a camera above my bed. I kept hearing little beeps in my head and thought that they were angels telling me it was ok. I was quoting south park lines in the mirror. Anyways, it was really a messed up experience, and I'm lucky I ever came out of it. I will never take steroids again!
