I'm very experienced with psychedelics and enjoy using high-dose psilocybe on my own sometimes. This should not have been an excuse to try a new drug with a questionable reputation alone.

I've tried small amounts of Fly Agaric with very results ranging from 'merry' to 'jolly' so I was curious how a full dose might feel. About half an hour after munching the dried caps and stems of a few large dried mushrooms (10:30pm) I felt it come on. I had to sit upright to prevent nausea. Been salivating a lot and started to sweat. Too hot with a blanket too cold without.

Experience started to come on strong and fast. At first it was interesting, like being a part of a computer graphic animation. Then the bombarding onslaught of perceptual alteration began to concern me.
Black out.

Next thing I remember is waking up repeatedly in bed, like false awakenings (dreaming of waking up) only repeating every 2 seconds. It was still dark and the repeating false awakenings gradually slowed down enough by 10 AM for me to notice massive swelling on the left side of my face. Panic. Wake up again. I check the swelling; yes, it's real. Extremely disoriented. I am delirious but concerned and confused. I also have bad scrapes and bruises on my toes, my knee, my hand and my rib. My tongue was bitten badly and my tooth went through my lip. The entire upper left side of my face is swollen way out and my eye is completely shut by blood-swollen contusions. I guess I had a seizure.

I had one seizure a long time ago (not while on drugs). That one cost me 40 stitches on my forehead. I am extremely lucky I did not get cut badly last night. I could have died from blood loss or bit off my tongue or suffer any of a million critical injuries.
I am very thankful I'm here typing this right now.

Moral of the story: Don't do hallucinogens with reported dangerous side-effects without a sitter!
