This is my third time using salvia. The first I broke out into a mad fit of giggles and went back to my friends room and saw a few things change into 2D. The second time I used with Marijuana and saw interesting visuals, along with being exceedingly high from the weed. Those first two times were 10x extract at a lower dose than what I attempted. I use Marijuana anywhere from 1-4 times per week and salvia is my first attempt at hallucinogenic drugs.

Time: 8:30 pm, Friday night
Setting: Smoked in bathroom of dorm room, then would return back to my friends room to let myself go, where there were 4 friends of mine. I had meditated for 15 minutes prior to my salvia experience. Substance: Salvia 20x extract, pretty big bowl anywhere from 1/8 gram to 1/6. Smoked in very small glass weed pipe with screen made out of foil. I used a regular lighter.

Here we go…
T.0:00- I’m in the bathroom with my friend M, who will be assisting me lighting it. He torches it the way it should be done and gets the whole bowl burning. I inhale as much as I can, holding in deep in my lungs for a solid 25 seconds. I exhale and already feel something happening. I get ready to light the bowl again to try to finish it, get about half as much capacity and hold for about 15 seconds. After exhaling I try to finish my second hit and cash the bowl, and this is where conscious thought ends.

T.0:02- my mind is completely utterly separated from my body. If I were to think of weed as some sort of little creature that prods at parts of my brain so that I feel good, appreciate music, and get hungry, then I consider salvia putting my body on autopilot, taking my brain out of my head to show it things that are incomprehensible. This was nothing at all like the highest I had ever been from weed. I found myself floating through the universe, seeing a bright light below me and stars around me. As my body heads for the door of the bathroom to go back to my friends room, my mind attempts to open connections with different universes. As my body opens the door to my friends room, my mind simultaneously opens 5 doors, to 5 separate universes, where there were 5 different versions of my friends. Now the important part of all this is that I did it simultaneously. This was, and still is mind-blowing, incomprehensible, and completely indescribable. I was trying to find my way back to the room, the universe that I called home, but when I got back in there I had a nasty surprise waiting for me.

T.0:03- I head back into the room, but it was not at all what I was expecting. Part of my meditation was focused around being at one with the environment that I knew. Well, what happened was that my friends had turned on the 3 large blacklights in the room, and all other sources of light were gone. As I walked in, I became terrified that the door, the universe I had chosen, was the wrong one, and had made a terrible mistake. Somehow my friends thought it would be a good idea to put highlighter on their hands, wave them at me as one friend told me to take him to my leader.

Anyway, I became terrified, and they started to laugh at me for they had no idea what was going on inside my head. This made everything even worse, and I yelled at them to make it stop, they denied that anything was different which compounded my fear that I was indeed in the wrong universe. At this point I nearly started to cry, and yelled at them to stop the blacklights and laughing until finally I could not handle it anymore and went back to my room and listened to music for a good 5 minutes. I made my way back once I had calmed down and my trip had essentially ceased, and slumped on the ground in my friends room, utterly emotionally and mentally exhausted. It was completely mind-blowing, and for a good hour following smoking, my outlook on everything was completely changed.

Following my trip I discussed with my friends what had happened, and they were sorry about what they had accidentally done. I can’t blame them I would have had no idea either what was about to happen to me. I can say for the most part it was a bad trip, but understanding why it was has helped me to quickly get over it, and I will be ready soon for another attempt. There are no words to describe the absolute wonder that I experienced in the first few minutes of my trip, and had I been in a good place, I believe everything would have gone wonderfully.
