It was a long-anticipated accomplishment to make my way to actually committing the act. I had obtained the salvia through a trip to the beach, where the substance is sold frequently. It's not something I wanted to use to frequently, and I doubt I would enjoy it as much if I did. The fact that it is a 10x extract also helped to dissuade me from going through such a rare experience too quickly. After watching a movie with my mother, my house was completely asleep with only a lonely teenager looking for entertainment still about.

I carefully and quietly went to the basement, kept all the lights off, turned on the Old School rap channel, I was eager to begin and this was the most interesting thing I could find. I used some chloraseptic to prepare my throat for the abuse, and plunged with that one hit. As I held the smoke in, I did not feel any effects, just a light-headedness. But in the second the smoke left my lungs, I was seized from reality. And by seized, I mean seized. I feel like my mind was too small or simply can't remember the beginnings of the trip, but I know how I ended up. It seemed the last line of rap I had heard was endlessly repeating itself in my mind, while I looked down on myself on my sofa. My reality seemed to be of very little consequence as I looked down at my world almost as one of the seat on a ferris wheel. A myriad of different figures, who at the time were distinctly clear and definable, are present running this ferris wheel of realities.

I see all of this, and attempt to keep in mind that I cannot be completely sucked in. This angered the figures, who repeatedly attempted to coax me in being taken away to who knows where. I resist, and when it seems their cause is lost, they give up on me for the moment at least. As they gave up, I get one last good look at this zoomed out view of the universe, blink, and then arrive back at my own. The last line of rap music I heard that was constantly repeating slowly begins to fade away and meld with the actual music I am hearing, marking the end of the the most intense effects. The bowl in my hand as well as the reality I am in does not compare to the experience, and I attempt to return by closing my eyes and focusing, but to no avail. I sigh and begin the general clean-up process, and return upstairs.

Pretty intense to say the least, but not too intense as to make the trip unenjoyable. The aftereffects are also pleasant and I certainly plan to use salvia again.
