I'm a 45 year old experienced aquanaut - have tried LSD about 3 times, marijuana for 20 years, and until it got too hard for a 45 year old soccer mom to find it out in the sticks a devotee of Ecstasy.

I had researched salvia on and off for a few years before deciding to give it a try. I purchased an ounce of leaves plus a few grams of 10x and 20x.

For about a week, I tried a few hits each day to acquaint myself with it. It's like getting used to driving - it's not really fun until you're relaxed and know how to control the ride.

It's so strange that I know that I would almost immediately go into visuals, and watch them until the trip ended, but I was never really able to articulate what I was seeing. In reading probably over a hundred trip reports, none seemed to be like mine - a mixture of reality, but being on the other side of things, like looking down at the earth through the 'membrane' people talk about.

I'm still unable to articulate the things I see, but I had to write about this experience because it was so beyond what I'd expected. I finally bought myself a bong because the pipe I was using was just not fun and the hits were harsh. So, while my husband was home on vacation one day, I sat out in the yard with my bong and a loaded hit of leaf as my filter and a pinch of 10x. I had an extra hit ready 'just in case'.

Husband was not my sitter, but was doing his sunbathing on the other side of the house. We live in a rural area on 10 acres, so it's not like there were neighbors nearby. I took my hit and sat back. I was watching the trees in back of the house and going to my familiar trip place - which I still can't articulate, but it's never fearful. I felt like I had just sat back and closed my eyes to 'watch the movie' as my husband calls it.

All of a sudden my husband is next to me saying 'are you back yet?' . I tell him yes, and he was saying how he had heard me from the other side of the house and came to tell me not to be so loud! He said 'you hear that cow next door? You were as loud as that!'. Well, aside from being compared to a cow, I was really mystified. I felt as if I had been sitting back and relaxing the whole time, but rather, I was moaning loudly - he said I wasn't *screaming* but like rather loud guttural moans, then I was laughing rather maniacally. None of this I remember, but my bong was on the ground, rather than on the chair arm where I had left it, and my extra hit was also on the ground. I have no recollection of moving or flailing in any way. In fact, I'm rather shocked by the whole thing, but still incredibly intrigued. It hasn't scared me in any way, and my husband thinks it was rather cool, though he doesn't want me doing that outside anymore, as my voice may carry!
