Looking for a way to avoid sleep to get more work done, I took 200mg Vigicer brand modafinil pill at 22:30 on a full stomach. By my usual bedtime of 23:30, I was feeling not sleepy, but not wired either, just awake. I worked until about 6:30, at which time I retired to bed and slept for 3.5 hours. I awoke feeling very sedate and fuzzy in the head. Later in the day, I took at long nap, at least another 2 hours.

The drug gave me a stress headache and made me feel queasy, but nothing serious.

It is very difficult for me to distinguish the effects of the drug from the normal effects of being up all night. At the end of the day, I had slept at least 5.5 hours, compared to my usual 7.5... not a very significant gain, imho.

I will try again with a higher dosage, but right now, I am feeling fairly disappointed in the experience.
