Cannabis, the cure for my food allergies

Before I talk about my discovery of yet another medicinal quality of Cannabis, I want to give a little back story. I am a 20 year old male that has been struggling with a pretty serious food allergy all of my life. This food allergy is called Celiac disease. Celiac disease is an autoimmune digestive disease that damages the villi of the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. This means that when I consume food that contains Gluten, the Gluten blocks up my intestines and keeps my food from being properly absorbed and keeps my body from getting the nutrients that it needs. What is Gluten? It is a protein that is commonly found in wheat, barley, and rye. This means that I can’t eat any kind of breads and most kinds of cereals, not to mention a long list of other things. As you can guess this is a very hard thing to do successfully. When I eat gluten, I get serious energy problems. I end up sleeping 10-12 hours every day and then drag through the day as if I didn’t sleep at all.

About eight months ago I started smoking Cannabis on a daily basis. (Daily being anywhere from 1-6 times a day depending). I instantly noticed an energy increase. At first I thought that it was because I was getting the best sleep of my life, due to smoking a few hours before bed, but then I realized that I could eat pretty much anything and my symptoms would not show up. Normally after eating Gluten I get a pretty bad stomach ache, but for the first time in my life I could eat seemingly as much as I wanted and be fine. No, better then fine I actually had energy without relying on caffeine or sleeping ridiculous amounts at a time. After doing some research I found out that Cannabis gets into your digestive system, and this only confirmed what I was already thinking. I started experimenting by eating all my favorite foods that had large amounts of Gluten, bread, cereal, cake, pizza, etc. And still my symptoms stayed away and I loved it.

Then after smoking daily for about six months I quit. But I still had more natural energy then ever before. However, I know Cannabis didn’t completely cure me, I still have to watch what I eat, but I can defiantly eat much more Gluten without having to deal with my symptoms. It’s been about two months since I smoked daily. I took a few months off and I now do it about once a week. And still to this day my food allergies have not been nearly as severe as they used to. I also had asthma really bad when I was younger and up until eight months ago I still was using my inhaler several times a month, sometimes more then that. Since I started smoking weed my asthma has completely disappeared and I have not had to use my inhaler since.
The reason why I wrote this is to show through my own experiences that Cannabis truly does have medicinal qualities and it should be used to help people like me.
