My journey began innocent enough. I had chronic kidney stones and was prescribed vicodin which I had experimented with in the past recreationally. I was an avid (possibly habitual) pot smoker, and was always the Guiney pig of my friends for new stuff (List of drugs: Pot, Cocaine, MDMA, DXM, Mushrooms, LSD, Every pill under the sun, Salvia, Inhalants, anything else I could get my hands on) . Over the course of my second kidney stone; which took the doctors 4 weeks to remove, I had consumed approx, 350 500mg Vicodins, so I was chemically dependent at that point.

My doc was old school and just pulled my script after the stone was gone, so I decided to use my resources to wean myself off. The problem was I enjoyed the high. When my supply of Vicodins ran out my buddy offered me an alternative; a 20 mg oxycontin.

This started a very dark time in my life. I won’t say I didn’t have a blast. However, by the time it was all said and done, my tolerance had grown to 800mg a day or 10 80mg pills ingested nasally. I had spent close to $30,000 in the last three months of my usage. And I was charged with 7 felonies.

As for me, now no mind altering substance seems worth the risk of going back to that hell I was in. I prefer to be abstained from all drugs.
