I took ecstasy/MDMA powder virtually every weekend between December 2001 and December 2007. By 2007 I was
just living from weekend to weekend; I was still functioning during the week in work, but in a kind of haze.

For the New Year I decided to give ecstasy/MDMA up for a while to see what happened. I sank into a horrible depression
throughout Jan/Feb/Mar, even worse than the one-day blues on Tuesday to which I had become accustomed over the past 6 years.

During March however, it lifted. I re-discovered my interest in world affairs, decided on going back to university... then in
June, I took an ecstasy pill at my friends birthday party. I didn't feel too bad the week after. I then took another pill
the following week. Again, no significant hangover. Three weeks ago, I was at a festival and took a gram of MDMA powder over the two days. I'm still in the throes of a nasty depression. I've been having severe doubts about how I will succeed at university,
long periods of feeling sorry for myself... this time I know though that it's just the depression making me think like this, and that it will lift in a few weeks. I've decided to cut the drug out altogether. It makes me feel great while I'm on it, but the depression definitely sneaks up on me without me realising.
