My Farewell to Exstacy

After much discussion and a minor collective history with Ecstasy, myself and a close group of friends decided to plan a party. We started mid-week trying to locate some E and we were successful in finding our desired amount of 20 tabs. They were a bag of mix colored tabs with different symbols on them. Everyone had two pills each with a few extras for any last minute participants. All in our mid 20’s some university students, some finished with careers met at my parent’s home with beer, wine, food and good spirits. We are located on the Atlantic Ocean and it was an overcast and mild day. We all ate our 1st dose around 6pm some opting for ½ pills to start but I took a full pill and washed it down with some beer. Everyone was happy at the prospect of an evening with no outside interruptions, playing guitar, and dancing.

We all congregated on the front lawn with beer, wine, and 3 guitars. My pill started to kick in and I felt very comfortable in my skin and the surroundings. Cigarettes were tasting exceptional and we were all non-smokers, chain smoking. A few of the girls were in the kitchen cooking a lamb dinner as myself and two other guys took a canoe out in the ocean for a late evening paddle. My vision was so crisp and I was so accepting to whatever anyone was saying. When we got back to shore I realized that everyone, 10 people was having a great time talking, laughing, playing music, and smoking cigarettes.

When darkness fell I had set-up a dance room in my mother’s yoga studio with a great sound system and a strobe light. Most of us increased our dosage, I ate another full pill. The second pill hit me much faster and with it came increased energy. At this time most everyone had switched from beer/wine to water and Gatorade. People began to go to the basement and dance in the yoga studio. There was a laptop connected to the internet and everyone was downloading their favorite dance music and we were dancing out hearts out. We started to make routines and since there were mirrors everywhere it made it even better that we could watch ourselves in the strobe light.

As the evening progressed the group became scattered, some danced more than others who were outside talking and smoking. The euphoria and clairvoyance I experienced was amazing.

On a negative note I ate another ½ tab later on and it proved to be too much.
I ate another ½ tab later on and it proved to be too much.
I didn’t sleep when I finally laid my head down at 3 or 4 and I was still very much high when I woke up at 8 to clean the house. To me the hardest part about talking a substance like Exstacy is knowing that I have to own the comedown phase as part of the experience. After I reach the point of euphoria and clairvoyance I shouldn't take more because all the negative effects of E will being. Heart palpitations, rapid eye movement, teeth grinding, cheek chewing etc.

Everyone that ate as much as I did experienced the same things when they laid down. We simply ate too much. We weren’t ready to face people especially our parents the next day so we went to another person’s house and lounged around, ate greasy food, and watched movies.

In retrospect, E is a fun drug that when taken in a great environment with solid people can be a life changing experience. I have to have self control to know when my body and mind has had enough.
