Ketamine In A Medical Setting

I was given Ketamine in a cocktail with Valium during what was supposed to be a minor dental surgery lasting under an hour. I know I am fine with Valium from previous recreational use, so the effects described were definitely from the Ketamine. I went under nice and easy and lost all sense of time, my body, and all the nice anaesthetic effects of this drug.

The problems occurred when I was trying to wake up...namely I didn't, for a very long time. I was out cold for three hours after the surgery ended, the typical time to wake up is only 15 minutes after at the dose I was given. When I did wake up I was thrashing uncontrollably. If you have ever seen the video for 'Special K' by Placebo, apparently I looked similar to the guy thrashing around on the operating table. I was extremely nauseous and given an injection of an anti-nausea drug which did absolutely nothing. When I was capable of staggering with a nurses assistance, I was helped out to my mother's car (really more like dragged since I was nodding in and out still and thrashing around) where I promptly threw up nuclear quantities of blood down the side of my mother's white car. I'm told it looked like we had been in a drive-by and it wasn't the typical blood-puke, more like, 'Holy crap that's a lot of blood' puke.

I dunno if I have an allergy or something to it, but I never EVER want to tangle with that chemical again.
