2C-B Linin' it

I'm 16, live in an unremarkable city, and have a reasonable amount of experience with psychedelics. I've taken Mushrooms, LSD, salvia, 2C-B about four times prior to this, only in combination with other drugs, though, as well as 2C-I.

2C-B is a lot like mushrooms or LSD, but without such a cluttered headspace. The hallucinations are less dramatic. It seems to me that it's best to do in combination with some activity that's a bit unusual rather than as a 'trip' of its own- that's just my experience though. Railing it is definitely worth it, and probably was around 1.5-2 times stronger than eating the pill. I don't expect to trip serious balls off of an amount smaller than 20mg, mind you. Hallucinations on it are of a pulsating, jeweled appearence. I found myself less inclined to thought loop than any other hallucinogen I've tried. A good way to explain it, that I heard somewhere else, is that you're given a lot of different tools to use, but you're not forced to use any of them. I'd go as far as to say that, for me at least, it's like LSD without any of the downsides. The following account is what happened the last time I used this advanced technology.

We got to the rave about ten thirty, and proceeded to dance, chill, and eventually take a small amount of MDMA. The rave was pretty good, although the DJs all seemed to suck. Around three, the music stopped, and we all cleared out. My friend E and I, since we'd come together in my friend B's car, met up and decided what to do next. B said she was going to an afterparty, and asked E to driver her car for her.

We reached our destination, a massive farmhouse of impressive quality. Lead into the basement, we sat around on an enormous couch and played some call of duty for a few minutes. Before long, I was bored of this, and turned to E and said 'Man, let's do this'. We found ourselves in the bathroom with this incredibly strange girl, who had everything we needed to crush and snort our tiny blue pills (5:00 AM). We went back into the living room for about five minutes, remarking on the burn of the powder (not nearly as bad as it's made out to be), then wandered off into the darkness. I want to mention the absurdity of this- we show up at a house full of almost strangers, do crazy space drugs in the bathroom, and disappear into the darkness. Anyway, we head out the back door, up this really luxurious set of stairs, down the driveway, and out onto the road. In all directions, there's endless prairie- in the sky, endless clouds. The person who's house this was had a dog, who decided to follow us. We set off down the road, chatting about this and that, waiting for the burn to leave, already feeling the first flickers of the drug. We stop and turn around- the sky is stunning, pulsating wildly, with subtle patterns around the edges of the clouds. Missy, the dog, runs ahead, and off into some bushes. We follow her, and joke about how this might be the highlight of her life. She bounds around gleefully as we examine some beautiful foliage, and continue along our path.

Eventually, we get to a cross roads, and make what turns out to be the right turn, after some deliberation. Really, truly tripping now, we converse about philosophy, nature, etc... you know, the usual. The clouds seem to be moving very quickly (6:00 AM). Off in the distance, I see shapes moving. My heart jumps. 'Are those dogs?' I ask E, somewhat worried. Missy's about a hundred feet in front of us. E says that he's near sighted. 'I see a shadow or something.' not particularly reassured, I decide to assume I'm not hallucinating.

'So, there's dogs up there. How do you fuck up a dog?'
'Er... Well, if it bites you, it'll hurt. Really bad. Don't let it do that.'
'...Okay, so we've got nothing.'
'Yeah, let's go back up our dog,' says E, and we take off at high speed to catch up to Missy.

We catch up, and the dogs have vanished. A little on edge, but still enjoying ourselves, we walk at a slightly heightened pace, and prepare for a fight. Farm dogs can be nasty, you know. We near a line of trees and, suddenly, the dogs appear. Two medium sized hound dogs, growling at Missy. Missy snarls and barks back. E and I glance at each other apprehensively. The adrenalin mixes with the 2C-B and puts me into a hyper aware state- still not sure I could fuck up a dog, though. We get close, and the dogs seem to be territorial- staying on their property, mostly, warning us off with teeth bared.

'Good guards,' I mention.
'yeah...' says E.

We pass their property, and they continue to follow us. We try yelling, acting assertive, all that- nothing seems to discourage them. Missy comes to us for reassurance. Suddenly, one of the dogs walks up and licks E, after sniffing him thoroughly.

'Rather friendly dogs!' He says, with an air of relief.
'As it turns out.' I say, petting one on the head.

An important lesson was learned- make sure you have something to fear before getting ready to fight. The dogs kept following us, and it became apparent that they were much more interested in Missy than us. We remarked on how the situation was similar to a girl being hit on by two drunk assholes. We decided to stay uninvolved. We continued along this gravel road, until we crossed a bridge, and found ourselves on pavement. There was a little bit of early morning traffic, presumably heading off to church (sunday morning, about 7:00). We drew a few strange glances, to be sure. We were faced by an unexpected problem- the dogs were total idiots. Over and over again, they stood in the way of oncoming traffic, seemingly oblivious to both horns and our calls. We tried to get them to leave, but of course, they wouldn't.

The sky was absolutely gorgeous, stretching endlessly in all directions. We could just barely see signs of civilization to the west, a huge cloud from the oil refinery, but aside from that, it was just the occasional tree, a house here and there, and endless prairie. And a random pack of dogs that we didn't own and didn't know what to do with. 'This is absurd.' I mentioned repeatedly. Eventually, the hound dogs fucked off down some random road- leaving the original three of us on our trek.

After walking for an indeterminate amount of time, we came to a road that we took to be a highway. We stopped. Missy was still with us. 'Shit!' we declared. We had a problem- what are we going to do with this dog? We had no desire to cross such a busy road with her- and nothing we did would make her leave. 'Go home, Missy!' But she wouldn't. With a sigh, we decided to wait until someone with a truck passed us. Suddenly, one did. We walked up to the side, and saw to somewhat... confused? Whatever emotion you'd feel seeing two random ass teenagers walking down the side of a road used only by locals. Anyway, two farmers in a truck pulled up, and we went and talked to them.

'We're walking into the city... Dog followed us... Er... That's about the shape of it.' I said.
'Yeah... Well, someone told us you were with three dogs. Is that true?'
'um. Yes.'
'Well, where'd they go?'
We told them. 'Will you take this dog in your truck? We don't want to take her on the highway.'

They said it was alright, so we went around the back, put down the tailgate, and tried to get Missy to jump in. She made like she was about to, but instead lay down on her back. 'What the fuck?' E and I hoisted her up, meeting no resistance but a sad look in the dog's eye. 'This hurts me,' Said E. I was very confused. We watched her disappear off down the road in the back of the truck, relief washing over us. Onward!

We crossed the pseudo-highway, and walked toward a cellphone tower. Truly massive, those things. We marvelled at it's hight while we contemplated our own. We saw the city off in the distance. 'Wanna just B line it?' said E. '2C-B Line it?' we said together, laughing, and then set off into the field of wheat. The wheat was really really wet. Before long, our pants were soaked. 'This is awesome!' we agreed. We had a conversation about how ravers were a lot like superheros- Dance all night, then a ten K hike! I felt pretty cool. Walking... Walking... Walking... We kept walking. We discussed religion, spirituality, and at one point, agriculture.

'Hey, we're actually hurting the economy by doing this.' said E. 'Yeah, you're right!' I said, enthusiastically. 'Fuck you agriculture!' I declared, and actively began destroying crops. Evan joined in and we made a swath of destruction through the damp stalks of wheat. Walking... walking... walking... Walking through wheat is a slow going. With every step, a bunch of stalks wrap around your legs, holding you back. Despite this, we kept a steady pace. We came upon a bunch of thistles.

'Hey,' I said, 'I saw thistles exactly like these the last time I was wondering through a field on 2-CB!'
'What? Are you serious? You've done something like this before?' Said Evan.
'Yeah man! Trippy... These are the exact same kind.'

I decided to keep a flower or two for posterity. Before long, we saw houses, not too far away. 'Holy shit! Civilization!' Yelled E. We jogged through the grass, enjoying the bizarre sensation of it smacking against our thighs. We came upon some railroad tracks, and picked up some rocks, before setting off down the rails toward downtown R-town. 'Smitties?' Someone suggested (breakfast/coffee place). And so we made our way toward foodstuffs and caffeine.

The rails were much easier going than the wheatfield. It felt kind of like floating. As we marched, we noticed the headlight of a train off in the distance. 'Is it getting closer, or are we?' we wonder, pausing. 'Gonna have to meet it head on,' we decide, as it becomes apparent that it's approaching at high speed. The train nears us. We wave at the conductor, and he blows the horn. We cheer jubilantly, and the train's noises sound like some kind of techno music. It's awesome. This massive machine barrels past, really fast. Being next to it, we feel vibrations through the earth. I think about how we as humans have made things like this, and how it does indeed separate us from other animals, for better or worse. The train passes and the rails keep singing. I put my hands on them to see if I can feel the sound, but it's too high frequency. We set off again. Soon, we're in the city. We cross an overpass, and look down on the morning traffic. Eventually, on both sides, there are high fences topped with barbed wire. A train comes towards us on rails adjacent to the ones we're on, stops, and the begins to reverse at exactly the speed we're walking at. It's almost too much to handle.

'Are we even moving?' asks E.
'This is trippy as all fuck!' I declare.
'What if that train operator has his train and his wife and his daughter, and he's like 'yeah, this is all I need. My life is set.'
'That'd be cool. He probably has a good life.' We pause and reflect on the zen of complacency.

'Well then. I just realised- we're no longer in a field on 2C-B. We're now on railroad tracks on 2C-B. Let's get off.' I point to a gap in the fences, and we make our way. We walk through some sweet-smelling plants, and I'm taken by how natural beauty seeps through every crack in the pavement, literally and figuratively. It's nifty.

The next few hours (we got to our destination about 9) are largely uneventful. I fall asleep around 3 and sleep for exactly twelve hours. It's inconvenient.
