Lyrica for Anxiety

I am recently been prescribed lyrica for my general anxiety. I am currently increasing the dose to 300mg and then from their 600mg a day. After I take lyrica it takes about an hour to take effect. It is kind of a low opiate feeling like 15mg-20mg of Vicodin, or like the first time I took Xanax and didn't have a tolerance. The drug gives a very relaxing feeling, and at higher doses it is supposed to give a drunk feeling. So far it seems to work well for anti anxiety treatment.
