I awoke one morning and decided today was the day that I would try Salvia. Not having any means by which to order it online, I decided to visit a local headshop and purchase one gram of 60x.
Later that day, I met up with my girlfriend. I'd promised her that I'd be with her when I tried it my first time, so she got to be my sitter.
At around 5:30PM we left my house and drove to a Books-a-million parking lot. I packed a bowl into a small socket and placed it in one of the holes in my Fuse bottle which I use as a pipe. I told my girlfriend to get in the driver's seat and turn the child locks on for safety reasons. I got in the back and started filling the bottle with smoke. Once I had the hit ready, I exhaled and took in the whole bowl with one inhalation. I held the smoke in until I couldn't hold it any longer and blew it out the window.
Immediately, I felt the effects. My vision had become choppy and my body and mind felt like I'd just smoked a bowl of good weed. This feeling was short lived. I turned to my girlfriend and said I felt something weird happening.
Suddenly I felt at one with the universe and Earth. I was content for about 30 seconds, Then all hell broke loose. My reality was being sliced in very thin slices that looked like deli meat being sliced in one of those walmart deli meat slicer things! The slicing was happening very quickly and approaching me from the right. I was scared because I knew that soon it would reach me and I too would be sliced up. I think I started yelling at this point but the slicing had already reached me and I was being sliced up along with everything else. It didn't hurt but I was soon silenced when my mouth had been sliced up.
Now, the slices of the world began to feel apart and behind the fabric of our world, I saw nothingness. The colorless abyss was calling to me. I refused its invitations but was sucked into the vortex against my will.
I found myself waist deep in water out at sea. I wondered why the water was only waist deep and why there was no land in sight. I looked up and the blazing sun was but inches above my head. I felt drenched with sweat and then found myself back in my car. For a bit I felt relieved to be back in my car, but something was terribly wrong...
I found myself with no legs. Nothing but a torso melded to the back seat. I could not move my body and cried for help. My girlfriend was the only thing left that made any sense but I seemed that she could not hear my cries and for some reason was talking to my sister on the phone. She finally heard me but by then I was already in danger of being sucked into another reality. The swirling hole that had replaced the back window of my car began to exert its power on me and I felt compelled to enter it. However, I was still unable to move. The vortex grew larger and began to engulf the entire car. Before I knew it, I was gone again.
This time I found myself in a world reminiscent of our own. Again, there was something terribly wrong. I began to see mutated versions or animals I sort of recognized roaming around. The trees and plants were capable of uprooting themselves and moving about. Tiny green mice basked in the sun as though they were photosynthetic, while the sinister black trees preyed upon the 3-eyed birds that circled me above.
I was utterly amazed... and drenched in sweat. But then, all of it disappeared. Gone. Nowhere to be found. I was in my car, and everything was right again. My girlfriend looked worried but was relieved when I said I was feeling normal again. The trip ended so abruptly that I was hesitant to believe that I was truly back in reality. However, minutes passed and I began to realize I was back for good. Relieved and very sweaty, I went into the Books-a-million bathroom and washed my face.
I will most likely try salvia again. Scary as the trip was at some points, I really enjoyed it. It was VERY intense and felt much longer than it really was. I tripped for a grand total of 8 minutes and loved it.
I don't know what could possibly prepare someone for this kind of intensity.
