I'll start by saying I'm no stranger to most all mind and mood altering substances. In all my drug-related endeavors, I had never found anything as powerful as opiates. Unfortunately no other substance affected me like opiates. I simply could not get enough. Within two years, I was a full blown junkie.

Eventually I began to tire of the constant cycle of 10% bliss, 90% misery. That is when I found Suboxone. I had taken it before in lower doses, procured on the street. But decided that it would be beneficial to start taking the medication legitimately. My first dose was 24mg sublingualy (doctors order). I had never taken that much before... But since the doctor told me to, I took 3 8mg tablets sublingualy. Let me tell you, I was a very strong opiate user, as many and as much as I could afford was my usual dose of whatever I could find. I was hammered by that dose. Twelve hours of hammered. Double vision, the Nodds, a bit of nausea, an all around opiate buzz. I could hardly believe that this was what the doctor ordered, stating that this drug was impossible to abuse... I STRONGLY beg to differ. I am prescribed 24mg a day. The doctor said that I could take these three pills a day all at once or each a number of hours apart. I enjoy taking them all at the same time when I have no responsibilities for the next dozen or so hours, but I had to split them up to go to work etc. All in all a very good medication, and I'll admit I never wanted another opiate. Definitely good for its intended purpose. The Pros of this medication are clearly stated in the above text, the only real Con is the price. Very expensive. When I read that buprenorphine was 4-5 times stronger than morphine I didnt believe it at first, but after personal experience, I'd have to agree. This medication is no joke.
