I started poppin' benadryls when I was 13. My first dose was 150 mg, which started a mild case of HPPD. I didnt touch any more til I got arrested and bailed out when I was 17, I was taking an over the counter sleep aid that had 50 mg of Diphenhydramine in it, this is were the addiction started.

There was a bottle of 100 tablets of a generic allergy medication, which had Diphenhydramine as a main ingredient, 25 mg, for 3 nights in a row, I popped 800mg every night... I was seeing awesome stuff, watching cartoons on a tv that wasn't even on, tripping on the walls and whatnot, life was crazy to me now. This proceeded to progressing to a point were I would steal benadryls from friends, them not knowing. I would chew on my gel cap 50 mg pills to catch a little buzz.

Then I ran out of benadryls. This was all during the summer of 2008, When I finally ran out of anything with the chemical Diphenhydramine in it, I would get bump like hives and be all itchy all day, this really killed me, I needed more 'dryls. Well I got over my addiction for a few months til the fall of 2008, I moved back in with my parents because I was going to be serving a 6 month bid in jail, so I wanted to be with my parents for a few months before leaving for a few months. I was still 17 and dropped outta high school at the time. I would go to 7-11 down the street or White Hen Pantry and steal box's of 24 benadryls, which is 600 mg. Eventually this wasn't enough, I stop taking the 'dryls til late winter in the beginning of 2009. The 600 mg 24 pack of 'dryls wasn't working anymore but I took them to catch a buzz. Then I would go down the road a couple miles to get cheap 2 dollar packs of 36 Diphenhydramine pills at a local convenient store.

This addiction stopped when I went to jail , I served 4 of my 6 months, and the first thing I did was steal a box of 24 benadryls, which didn't do too much. Then I found out at the dollar tree I could get 100 benadryls for 1 dollar, I was in heaven, a druggie heaven, I then stole a bottle even tho I had a dollar. The next night I started by popping 50 of the 25 mg pills, then the voices that I was having said I was going to go into a different dimension so I popped 20 more, a total of 1750 mg of benadryls, and somehow I survived. I dont recall anything from that night in october of 2009, the only thing I remember was that my parents were taking me to the hospital, because I was puking pink benadryl puke.

I didnt touch any benadryls since, But now they are calling me back so I will take 750 mg tonight in the first month of 2010, this is the rest of the bottle of 100, 30 pills left, I put them in a hole in my wall and made the hole bigger tonight to get them out. None of this story is an exaggeration, since I been 17 I've popped well over 500 benadryl Diphenhydramine pills. I cant live like this, this addiction has killed everything I was, I'm a different person then I was in 2008.
