I've had insomnia and an anxiety disorder for as long as I can remember. De facto treatment, benzos! I seem to have this limitless supply of Alprazolam and Alprazolam XR laying around, and I really don't like the effect it has on me. Of all the drugs I've experienced thus far, benzos and bad pot trips make my two least favorite experiences.

That said, I'm having trouble sleeping tonight. I cant remember what started me down the trail of thought, but I started looking for other ways of ingesting my little pink eleph-- footballs. Somewhere between my creative brain and rational brain I decided to see if I could smoke them.
At about 3:30 AM I started poking around on the internet, googling things like 'smoking xanax.' The results of a few quick minutes of searching didn't yield anything more than people saying they had heard of it being done and other people calling them morons for smoking pills. I was inclined to agree that smoking pills is bad mojo, but I was also very bored. Instead of researching further I decided to strike out on my own, venture where few had ventured before! I was going to smoke a peach football.
I walked out to my car, popped open my glove box and pulled out my wrinkled brown paper bag. Inside it is a long stem glass bubble pipe, the kind you use to smoke meth. I broke the pill in half then held the two halves over the bowl while grinding them together. After about one fifth of the pill had made it into the pipe I put the remaining halves down and shut off the light. I began heating the bottom of bowl was surprised as I was almost immediately greeted with thick trails of swirling smoke. I blew out the first bit and watched it dissipate into the air around my head. Warning one that I should abort was the smell the smoke left. It was this acrid, foul, ignoble stench that just hung in the air.
Despite the smell, I carried on. The powder was still lightly smoking, even without the heat source. I applied the flame to the bowl again just long enough for the smoke to swarm back and then took the smoke into my mouth. The smoke tasted like a bar when I chew it, except much stronger and with the taste of burned wheat bread on top of it. It was pretty foul and harsh. I blew it out and sat there for about 30 seconds to see if I would get any effect, but felt nothing.
I decided to draw a hit into my lungs just in some vain hope that I'd maybe get some effect. I heated the powder to a rolling smoke. I breathed in, watched the smoke travel up the pipe, felt it hit my mouth, tasted the foul taste, let it roll past my tongue and into my throat where it caused an uncontrollable cough and gag. Not only did the smell and taste get worse the farther it was drawn in, it burned like a steering wheel on a 100 degree day. At that point, I considered the experiment a failure and put the pipe down. I took the remains of the pill and chewed them up.
I've tried for about ten minutes to get the burned smelly residue out of my pipe, but it just wont come off. I think my pipe is ruined.
I think my pipe is ruined.
Lesson learned, don't smoke pills.
