Bromazepam is sold as Lexomil by Roche in France. It appears in a green cylindrical bottle, and the pills are referred to as 'baguettes' since they are long and thin and can easily be broken into up to 4 pieces. I have tried four other benzos and bromazepam is by far my favorite. It seemed to last longer than lorazepam (Ativan), but to not produce the drowsiness frequently experienced with clonazepam (Klonopin) or alprazolam (Xanax). It gives a far more euphoric and less sedated state than diazepam (Valium). I was able to function quite well on it - it does not produce the mental dullness and the tranquilized, sleepy feeling common with other benzos. It was, however, no easier to withdraw from.
