LSD on SSRIs

T + 0.00 After much umming and ahhing on the subject, myself, my partner and one of our best mates decided to drop acid together. We each took 1 tab orally. It's important to add that I am currently taking SSRI antidepressants, so this may have altered my experience. We decided to stay in a nice safe place (i.e. our home) with no one we felt unfamiliar or insecure with around to limit the chances of a bad trip.

T +1.00 I felt a general warm, 'fuzzy' sort of feeling, just a general feeling of wellbeing.

T +2.30 My warm fuzzy feeling had expanded to great fits of laughing at absolutely humourless objects, like the shape of the doorknob and the sight of a sock puppet. My housemate went to the toilet, only to return 20 minutes later after staring at the tiles on the floor and watching them whirl and melt into each other. I did attempt to achieve the same effect, but saw nothing of the sort.

T+ 4.00 My mild sort of high continued. Time was definitely skewed for all of us.
T+ 4.00 My mild sort of high continued. Time was definitely skewed for all of us.
I would watch a film clip for four minutes and think that several hours had passed. I began to see trails following my hands and legs as I moved them. I ventured to the bathroom and stared into the mirror for a good five minutes and did not experience any sort of hallucination. Both my partner and my housemate stood in front of the mirror for half an hour lost in the experience.

T+ 5.00 I was feeling tired and a little lacklustre. I retreated to my bed and fell asleep immediately. My partner and housemate stayed awake for another six hours and continued to experience visual hallucinations, including the television slowing melting into a puddle on the floor. Apparently they both happily continued to watch the TV in a puddle on the ground. They also reported that the walls appeared to be breathing or billowing, and that the tiles in the bathroom seemed to lead to another universe. They also found looking n the mirror to be either fascinating or distressing.

Overall I was disappointed with my LSD experience. I believe the fact that I have been on SSRIs for an extended period of time prior to taking the drug have lead to my diminished experience. I certainly did not find the experience unpleasant or frightening in the least, but I would say it was similar to a mild marijuana high.
