I Wonder Where It Was You Took Me
Salvia divinorum (20x extract)
Citation:   Aaron B. "I Wonder Where It Was You Took Me: An Experience with Salvia divinorum (20x extract) (exp86344)". Erowid.org. Nov 5, 2019. erowid.org/exp/86344

DOSE:
1 bowl smoked Salvia divinorum (extract)
BODY WEIGHT: 130 lb
I held your rancid smoke deep inside my lungs
As the old familiar backdrop
Shattered before my eyes.

I watched you rip my body
Apart in seamless patterns.
Pushing and pulling me
And crushing me between your many layers.

I could not scream with the lungs you filled
With burning leaves
Repulsive yet sweet.
I could not speak.

But I believe you spoke to me
In deafening silence

That I will never cast eyes
Upon a familiar sight
And you will never cease or slow
For you are endless by nature.

I know now
I should not have found you.
I should not have granted you entrance
To this sacred temple
For you are fear itself.

You are hysterical terror.
You reduce me to meat and skin and bone
And I am helpless--
A crawling spectacle in the grass.

And slowly I can feel
The grass and the sun
on my skin
And the world is almost as I left it.
And I am torn
By my sense of relief
And disbelief that reality is stable.

Since your presence lingers
And I am still
Encompassed by your taste.

Reality feels fragile
And I am afraid that
At any moment
You will shatter it again
and again.

But your presence only weakens
And gradually
Your features float far beyond my reach

You are reduced to
Distorted details.
I forget the fear
The pain.
And I wonder where it was
You took me.
