I took Melatonin for the second time after being completely drained from going to an all day concert. It was about 10 pm and I had a headache so I took 1mg of Melatonin and 400 mg Ibuprofen. My girlfriend also took 1 mg but I have not discussed her reaction with her yet, as I am typing this the next day. After ingestion I took a quick shower because I was filthy from the concert and journeyed off to bed.
The dream began with myself and several friends in my parents van. At this point in the dream I would like to note that I was not aware of my actions. My friend J was driving the van and for some reason I began to attack him. I can remember punching him in the face and biting his arm so hard that he almost swerved off the road. The next thing I can recall was sitting at a large table across from a man with a small afro. I was shoving my mouth full of salad and he began to stare at me. I became embarrassed and chewed harder but the volume of salad in my mouth did not seem to dissapate. So I hid my mouth with a napkin. He continued to look at me with disgust. After the table I was in an oddly shaped apartment complex and I was becoming more aware of my state but not fully realizing it was a dream. The apartment building was filled with people who were formerly rich(?) but did not want to reveal their recent lack of funds. So they all lived in these large, odd shaped, and fancy buildings.
The next thing I knew I saw my girlfriend, S. I went and talked to her but I realized she had no idea who I was. For some reason I acted like I had just met her. After talking to her she revealed that she lived in the building. Eventually I suggested that we should go fool around and we did. After this I became aware that I was in some alternate reality. I began to panic. I found my girlfriend and asked her to go fool around again and she said ok. When we sat down I asked if I could tell her something very important and she said yes. I proceeded to tell her: 'Im in some kind of fucked up dream world. Ive been here about a day and Im not sure if I can get out. In real life you are my girlfriend! I know this sounds weird but it's true, I can prove it.' She turned to me and said: 'I believe you.' A smile stretched across my face and that was the last piece of the dream I can recall.
This was only the second time in my life that I have had a lucid dream. I will continue to use Melatonin. So far, so good.
