First, here's some background on my past drug experiences. I've been an infrequent cannabis user since I was 19. When I started college, I tried some raw opium once - it was ok. While still at school, I managed to find the wonders of online prescription purchasing and conned my way into receiving a large amount of 15/500 strength Lortabs (hydrocodone) and managed to get hooked on those for about a year or more. Not cool. Anywho, after my release into the 'real' world, I had an itch to start experimenting with some hallucinogens. I tried shrooms a few times, as well as large doses of dramamine (more of a deleriant). The shrooms changed the way I view the universe (awesome), and the dramamine was sort of weird.

Anywho, fast-forward to the present, about 2 months ago (June), I started researching the so-called 'Spice' products and after much reading and contemplating, I dropped about $35 on a gram of 'Spice Diamond' online. After about a week, It finally arrived and I decided that my first attempt would be out of a small glass pipe. It was ok. Kind of felt like a weak cannabis buzz or when you start to come down on one. This was just after 1 bowl though, maybe about 40-50 mg. Throughout that weekend, I went through about 6 bowls, 2 of them within 10 minutes, and managed to get the same effects as the first. I was mildly disappointed.

However, I then did some more research on the JWH-018 chemical itself. As I was doing so, I came across some sites that advertised pure 99.8% JWH-018. 'Hmmmmm.....perhaps the spice products were inferior and contained a lot of useless herbs and fillers and not much of the actual active ingredient,' I thought to myself. I managed to pony up about $50 for a gram of the pure stuff. 5 days later, UPS dropped it off and I tore into it immediately.

Actual Experience: I had fasted for about 10 hours, knowing it would be here after work. Throughout the day, I drank a ton of water, 2 cups of coffee and 1 glass of OJ. I decided to go with the bong this time.

Dose: 'eyed out' about 6 mg, or what I thought to be the equivalent of about 8-12 grains of kosher salt. As I lit up, the white powder just melted into a liquid and I could see just a bit of smoke in the chamber, but I knew it was mostly the vapor from the JWH inside so no biggie. It was easier to hold in my lungs than cannabis and had no initial smell or taste.

Time: 00:00 - nothing yet, well nothing really. Just starting to get a chemical-like taste in my mouth. Tasted like a natural history museum smells. It wasn't a good taste, but it was pretty easy to forget about it.

Time:+00:02 - OK, now getting a full on feeling like I just took a huge half gram bong hit of BC Bud. Nice. Very Nice.

Time:+00:10 - Uhhhh...I'm completely baked, a LOT less able to function on XBOX360, or even move for that matter. I go to the bathroom to look in the mirror and my eyes were so fucked up red! WOW

Time:+00:15 - OMFG! I just keep getting higher, and higher, and higher....panic and paranoia are now running rampant, and I can feel my heart beating very strongly. With weed, the paranoia and panic is my favorite part of getting high.

Time:+00:30 - Now I'm started to get WAY too high, I feel like throwing up and the room is spinning. The body buzz is just out of control. I move to my couch to lay down and try to hold down whatever liquid is in my stomach. Time is severely distorted. Don't even remember what was inside my mind during this time.

Time:+02:00 - Some effects are finally subsiding and I have the munchies, really bad. But I feel so tired, I can't even sit up, so I think I just passed out and fell fast asleep.

Time:+05:30 - Woke up and looked at the clock. Been asleep for 3 and a half hours. Slept like a baby! Still feeling a tad spaced, but not high. No ill effects whatsoever after I woke up, or throughout the rest of the day/evening.

Conclusion: After smoking about 4 sessions in 2 days, I built up a bit of a tolerance to this stuff, but nothing too dramatic. I use a screen when smoking from a bowl or bong. After the liquid turns to a sticky plasticky polimer, I can smoke THAT and STILL get just as baked until it just melts again and finally evaporates. If this stuff continues to be legal in my State, I will be using JWH-018 regularly. And an added plus, it's done wonders for my migraines! Haven't had one since I started using it. It does have tiny nuances that differentiate it from real cannabis, but they are minor, and easily forgotten.
