Serotonin Syndrome Threat Is Real

DOSE:
20 mg oral Pharms - Escitalopram (daily)
  900 mg oral DXM
BODY WEIGHT: 230 lb
I decided to try a trip on DXM for the first time. Disregard the warnings of Serotonin Syndrome from combining DXM with SSRI use. I take Lexapro 20mg daily.

I settled on a 900mg dose of DextoMethorphan HydroBromide at rougly 4:00PM.

+30 Minutes:
Starting to feel a bit intoxicated, not unpleasant.

+45 Minutes:
Feeling extremely intoxicated. Experiencing some lilliputian hallucinations. Slight confusion. Cannot focus on my computer screen (37' computer monitor is seeming like a bad choice right now). Having a lot of difficulty typing this out.

Next Day:
+3Hours45Minutes: complete loss of memory of what happened from my last attempt at recording my experience at +45m until 3 hours later after my parents attempted to take me to the ER. It took several conversations for them to figure out what I had taken as I could not speak in understandable sentences.

Spent the next 4-5 hours with my mother not leaving my side for more than a minute or two at a time, crying and apologizing. Asked my dad several times to 'put me down', could not recognize shapes unless I covered one eye. My memory is quite unreliable regarding this period, time seemed to go much slower or much faster than normal and I'm pretty sure I was blacking out for 30 minutes at a time. Running a fever and feeling sick and confused the entire time.

After roughly 8 hours of this, I became euphoric and can only describe my behavior as being like that of a person on PCP (judging only from what I have heard of PCP having never done it). I was somewhat agile and clumsy at the same time, but shockingly strong. At on point I was crawling on all fours pretending to be a bear and moving with surprising ease. Did a few pull-ups in a door frame and didn't even notice the exertion. VERY strange and probably very dangerous effects as I had no feeling of normal pain and was most certainly cognitively and emotionally impaired. I was very happy and kept making my mom laugh.

After about 45 minutes of this I decided to try to sleep. Laid in my bed, listened to a few song on my ipod and then shut my eyes to sleep. Lots of interesting visuals with my eyes closed, 30 minutes or so of this and I fell asleep. Cannot recall having any dreams, but I slept most of today and have a bit of a hangover feeling.

Not something I am likely to repeat, but I can say I've done it now!
