The only drugs I had done prior to this experience were cannabis, adderall, which I did not enjoy, and pain pills. I am very careful about pills because I generally feel it's not a good idea to mess with such things. Especially for someone like me who is already on daily medication.
Now, onto the experience. After work, I decided to take a nap. I woke up to my phone ringing. It was my friend K. She asked if I wanted to go smoke with her and her friend H. I jumped at the opportunity; a) because I hadn't smoked in a week or so and I was having a lot of discomfort. I didn't want to go to the doctor or anything because I didn't want to go back on pills. B) because I love K and we had never smoked together before. And c) because we were going to be smoking spice, and I had never tried it before.
So, we got to J's house and smoked spice from a hand carved bong. I only took like two hits and thought I would need more, but it hit me all at once and it was amazing. Originally, I was under the impression that spice was just something people smoked because it was legal or they couldn't get weed. However, that is far from the truth. I thoroughly enjoyed spice. One of the best things about it was the price- less than $7 a gram.
I was fairly stoned and we were watching a movie called Pi when J mentioned that he had DMT. I literally jumped off the couch out of excitement. J brought out this little glass pipe contraption he had made with a lightbulb and put some white powder in it.
I took the first hit, expecting harsh smoke. To my surprise, it was very smooth. The smoke actually felt amazing when it hit my lungs. It was similar to laughing gas but much better. It had a taste like burnt rubber, though, somehow not unpleasant.
Bam! I've heard it described as being shot out of a cannon and I can't think of a better way to describe it. I felt the universe around me and not only that, I heard it. I heard it cracking and buzzing. As I smoked more, I felt...Vibrations. Oh my god, the VIBRATIONS! And it felt good. So good.
As I smoked more, I felt...Vibrations. Oh my god, the VIBRATIONS! And it felt good. So good.
I was still in the room but my mind was in another world. I was aware of the room. My friends were laughing and talking to me but I wasn't responding. Later, I asked why they were laughing and they said it was because I wasn't reacting to anything in the room. I was seeing psychedelic kaleidoscopic patterns. I could still see the room though. I felt as though I were seeing everything.
It was psychedelic! And I felt ENLIGHTENED!
Nirvana!
Just...BEING!
Now!
Turn on!
Tune in!
Drop out!
The room started to disappear. It sort of looked like my vision was pulling apart. I was on the threshold of breaking through...of visiting hyperspace. But the TV was making this loud heartbeat sound and it distracted me. It was intense. 'It looks like I'm underwater' I said out loud which was followed with laughter from my friends. And I started laughing too.
At this point, I realized I still had the pipe. There was more in it and I wanted to break through, but more than that- I wanted to share what I was experiencing. So I passed it along.
As my friends smoked, I contemplated time. I looked at a clock, but I couldn't tell what time it was. I kept laughing and realizing that there was nothing to laugh about. I remember, at the peak, thinking about birth and death. And I remember realizing they had no meaning. BIRTH AND DEATH ARE MEANINGLESS!
I pondered what people thought about me. Which is something I worry about too much and I was like. It doesn't matter! It really doesn't. I've always told myself that, but only fully believed it at that moment. That feeling hasn't gone away.
I looked up and the chair fell back. I thought I was falling but I felt too good to care and I looked at the ceiling and saw dragons in it. I closed my eyes and saw these overlapping crescent-moon patterns in every color imaginable and I realized I wasn't simply imagining these patterns. I realized that I was actually seeing them with my minds eye. I kept seeing a certain house and I kept seeing people dancing. It was very colorful. It was vivid and simply beautiful.
I opened my eyes and became fixated on a carpet. I saw alien entities and alien faces in it. The blue background of the carpet took on a profound depth and thought it looked like outer space. I looked at my friends who were also tripping and I felt like my mind was connected to theirs and I knew they felt the same way. It certainly bonded us.
As we came down, we were all just giddy and laughing.
It was an amazing, life-changing experience. I've read some other trip reports and my experience seems to be rather mild comparatively. That said, I can only dream of the mind-altering, life affirming effects of a full blown breakthrough.
