DOSE:
1.5 mg transdermal Scopolamine (patch)
BODY WEIGHT: 160 lb
I am a frequent business traveller so I have to fly and ride in cars quite a lot, but as I have gotten older I have become prone to motion sickness. Not good for a person who travels for a living. I began taking dramamine, but that stopped working. I finally saw a doctor and got a scrip for scopalamine patches. 1.5 mg delivered over 3 days.

You put the patch on about 12 hours before you plan on traveling, but for me it kicks in within about 4 hours or so.

Compared to having taken acid, the onset.. before I trip balls, but that short time period where things look 'different'. I cannot put my finger on it, I still feel sober and think clearly, but things somehow shift. Scopalamine is like that the whole time. I feel sober, I can drive, I can speak, I am not paranoid, but I an in a different perceptual headspace.

It dilates my pupils and things get bright, so that may have much to do with it. It also blurs my vision and dries out my mucus membranes so my throat feels a bit scratchy. I know something is happening, but it is intangible.

It wipes my memory, and this was a problem for me as I was on business.

I would get absent minded and forget important points and events that happened the day before.

Now, I got to experience higher doses too... I did not follow instructions and put on a second patch immediately after taking off the first one for my trip back, but a good bit was still in my system from the first one (you need at least 12 hours after removing it before using a second one).

My throat became REALLY dry, and I felt dizzy. I began to get visuals, things were shimmering and my pupils became basketballs. I had trouble concentrating and couldn't remember anything. I felt not like and acid trip was coming on, but like I was coming off one, when the world will not get back to normal and I have been on a journey for days... or so it feels. After it was all said and done I was constipated and could not get an erection for 5 days.

And I did not get motion sick once!
