I have been prescribed Vyvanse for a while now, but just recently started experimenting with it as a dreaming aid. As an extended release type of drug, it works by activating in the liver, which takes a bit longer than its sister drug Adderall. I found that if I take a pill right before bed, I have enough time to fall into a restful sleep state before the drug takes effect. My sleep sessions have been cut down to about 4-5 hours, and waking up becomes natural. At the end of each time I sleep, I am granted a lucid dream, plus a well rested feeling once I am awake.

I have tried for the same effect with caffeine and Adderall, but because of the nature of their quick activation times, I cannot fall asleep and end up staying awake.
