Cannabis & Sertraline
Citation:   Maddie. "Not Good for the Common College Student: An Experience with Cannabis & Sertraline (exp91200)". Erowid.org. May 5, 2018. erowid.org/exp/91200

DOSE:
50 mg oral Pharms - Sertraline (pill / tablet)
  8 oz oral Alcohol - Beer/Wine
  1 hit smoked Cannabis
BODY WEIGHT: 135 lb
I had only just been put on Sertraline. I was supposed to take one 50mg tablet a day. The label said may cause drowsiness, and not to mix with alcohol because it can intensify this effect. They all say that so I didn't think much of it.

I took my medicine around 7pm with my dinner. I went to my friend's house around 10pm to hang and drink with friends. Nothing crazy, just a normal Saturday night on a college campus. I had half a beer and a hit of a bowl around 10:30 when suddenly I had an extreme need to get out of the room full of people.

I tried to get down the steps to go outside, but I had serious trouble walking. I felt like I was floating above my head, watching myself fall. I fainted right by the door and awoke to my friend Dan trying to talk to me. I felt like I was yelling at him to get me water, but my voice sounded so distant.

About 15 minutes later, with a glass of water in hand, I was perfectly fine, albeit completely embarrassed. I wouldn't drink and smoke while on this medication.
