Buprenorphine Nasal Spray

A Little Background:
I have been using opiate medications on a daily basis for the last 4 years for chronic lower back pain and sadly enough a year and a half ago I was recommended to go on suboxone for pain purposes and for its less addicting, less brain damaging properties. After surgery, I decided to give Suboxone (Buprenorphine) a chance since I was on an extreme amount of painkillers

, 150mcg of fentanyl and 240 mg of Oxycotin a day. Once on the suboxone I found it very hard to ever get a nod going on. But luckily after 6 months on suboxone I decided to reduce my usual 8 mg a day dose to 2 mg a day. WOW what a difference…I could get a very strong nod now. When people tell you less is more with Buprenorphine they are not joking. Buprenorphine is unlike any opiate in the respects that the more I take the less opiate effects I’ll feel and the antagonist properties are more pronounced. In my opinion, Buprenorphine has no recreational value if I am taking over 2-3 mg and opiate tolerant. All this Buprenorphine experience led me to wondering how to get the best nod out of this powerful opiate. Therefore, I started snorting little amounts of like 1-2mg throughout a day and this worked out pretty good until the fillers in suboxone were messing up my nose. I also now was being prescribed 2mg films instead of tabs. So I sat down and thought out how to efficiently and quickly deliver my suboxone. And here we are at my conclusion, a buprenorphine nasal spray. The spray does WONDERS for my nose and sinuses, no more burning nostrils…

Warning: opiate painkillers like suboxone can cause fatal respiratory depression.

Buprenorphine Nasal Spray Instructions:

Supplies Needed:
1. Empty nasal sprayer. I use an old Zicam nasal sprayer but any nasal sprayer will work.
2. 10-12 ml oral syringe to accurately measure the water needed for the Buprenorphine solution.
3. 10mg of Suboxone or Subutex (Buprenorphine)

For this recipe I use 4:10 ratio of Water (ml) to Buprenorphine. Therefore, for every 4ml of water I dissolve 10mg of Buprenorphine.

I simply crush up my suboxone powder or films in my dry, empty nasal sprayer.

Next, I measure out 4 ml of hot tap water with the oral syringe. I can use less water to make a more potent Buprenorphine solution. I tested how much liquid I would get from each nasal spray by beforehand placing water in my nasal sprayer and I counted how many squirts it took to fill 1 ml. which worked out to be roughly 10 squirts per ml of water. This is how I figured out my 4:10 ratio of Water (ml) to Buprenorphine. With each squirt delivering about .25 mg of Buprenorphine.

Lastly, I empty the oral syringe with the hot tap water into my nasal sprayer filled with suboxone films or powder and make sure to mix it very well for a few minutes.
