I happened to have an exam the next morning which I had read the book at least 10 times and I did not seem to get the concepts. It was 8pm, I was very frustrated, not focused at all and since I had spend the last hour crying (for someone) I was completely devastated and hopeless. I was exhausted and I thought I was never going to cover the material required for my exam, I was just planning to go to sleep and forget about the exam.
As my frustration increased I found in my drawers an amphetamine pill, so I decided to take half of it, this was my first experience in using something other than caffeine to study
this was my first experience in using something other than caffeine to study
After 30 minutes my sadness disappeared, my head was completely focused and I started writing notes and I felt like I was slowly understanding the book and all the material I had read prior to taking the pill, my concentration was unbelievable and I felt good and no longer tired nor sad. (I have to add as well that I usually find it extremely hard to concentrate and to focus on one thing at a time, I am not taking any medication for this either by the way). I finished 2 chapters in 1 hour, my head was feeling right and so my attitude towards everything, I was feeling confident that I could work and finish studying by 12, therefore I set my goal to finish studying by 12:30 so I could have a fresh 8 hour sleep.
After 3 hours my eyes started hurting a bit and I started getting rushing thoughts in my head again like I usually do, my focus was going away little by little, I didn't feel bad at the mental level but at the physical level, my head was starting to feel heavy. By 12:30 I finished my studying and I decided to go to bed, I have to confess that I found it a bit hard to fall asleep right away but I eventually did, I kept waking up throughout the night but I don't think it really affected my sleep quality.
Next morning I woke up, I had black circles and my eyes looked as if I haven't had any sleep however I felt good, I took a caffeine pill, a shower and left for my exam. I don't know if it's possible but I still felt a bit high but confident in a good way throughout the exam. I didn't have any problems remembering the material I studied the previous night.
I definitely think I drank more water than usual, went to the bathroom very often and smoked cigarettes than usual however I did not experience any hunger (even if I hadn't eaten anything since 5pm). It was a great experience as it boosted my confidence and my concentration levels in a moment of distress, also I got to see the difference in using amphetamines outside of a rave.
