As I write this, my hands are still shaky from the horrible effects of the 'purple party' herbal mood enhancer pill I ingested earlier this morning. The pill had a mix of supplements including: 5-htp, kanna extract (sceletium tortuosum), Yohimbe HCL, and several other vitamins.

I took the pill around 10am, hoping it would be similar to ecstasy, which is what the packaging and description suggests. I have used ecstasy many times, in addition to frequently smoking marijuana, occasionally using cocaine and trying mushrooms and DMT. Nothing was as horrible and unenjoyable as this herbal crap.

About 30 minutes after taking the pill, I began to feel a bit shaky and distracted, similar to if I drank a lot of energy drinks but different, obviously. Within the hour, my stomach felt like a rock, and I ran outside to get some fresh air and in case I vomited. I have an extremely strong stomach, and I managed to keep the pill down at first. To put this in perspective, I have never thrown up when taking ecstasy or mushrooms, which are well-known to upset the stomach. The first time I tried mushrooms, I ate an entire eighth, and did not vomit. I have taken everywhere from one pill, to 6 ecstasy pills in one night, all of different colors and stamps (a terrifying but enjoyable experience that might merit its own experience entry), and never thrown up. So far, no drug has bested my iron stomach. Until now.

As I moved around my house trying to get comfortable, curling up under a blanket because I was cold, then standing in front of a strong fan to cool myself down, I had the urge to spit, and was afraid of vomiting, but because of my history, I had faith in my stomach. My heart was pounding, and the pill produced no positive effects like another drug that would raise one’s heart rate like ecstasy or cocaine. I was praying for the experience and my pain to be over. I went to the bathroom and sat down by the toilet (which I have done before when afraid of vomiting from combinations of marijuana and alcohol, or from ecstasy) in case I needed to vomit. Sure enough, I began to heave and began to vomit up the contents of the pill, which tasted disgusting. Nothing much else came up because all I had eaten was a small bowl of cheerios early this morning. Little came up, but the bout was terrible. Afterwards I decided to turn the shower on and sit down on the shower floor in an attempt to calm myself and cleanse myself of this horrible experience, which was making me sweat, spit and vomit. This helped a great deal, but again, I heaved and vomited in the shower, maybe an hour after getting in. After I finally felt like I was coming down from the horrible herbal high, I got out of the shower and climbed into bed now that I could finally relax. About an hour after, I began writing this review in the hopes to prevent anyone else from ever trying this product.

As someone who has tried a lot of drugs, and enjoyed all of them, even if some experiences were difficult and not what I expected, this was the worst decision I’ve ever made to try a drug.
