Myself, my girlfriend K, and a close personal friend D all ingest approximately 900 µg off 2C-C-NBOMe which had been sourced from a European distributor with a very good reputation. The doses were laid on blotter paper with 600 µg of the chemical on each blotter and everyone took one and half hits of blotter. This is a relatively high dosage as each of us is experienced with MDMA, LSD, various 2Cx, various DOx, DMT, mushrooms, ketamine, occasional cannabis, methylone, mephedrone, MDAI, MDA, and a few others. We’ve been around the block quite a bit and wanted a memorable experience.

T+0:00 - The blotter was placed between the gums and upper lip. The blotter was pre-perforated and two doses were cut in half.

T+0:15 – We start to notice the initial effects of the drug surprisingly quickly. This may have been due to the relatively high dose as most reports I’m familiar with tend to place the onset of effects at least forty minutes after ingestion. The chemical acted as a fairly potent localized anesthetic producing a strong numbing sensation at the contact area on the gums and lip and the immediate surrounding area, this effect was noticed by K, D, and I. The effects could be characterized as a + with slight distortions of the visual field reminiscent of television static and general fuzz. K described the effects as looking like “psychedelic snow.” A body buzz is starting to be noticed by all, myself and K started to feel a faint nausea which for K was accompanied by a body buzz.

T+25:00 – The effects of the drug were faint but noticeable and the plans for the evening included going to an apartment of another friend to observe a Halloween party in our psychedelic stupor. We had not expected the drug to take effect as quickly as it had and therefore had to make a short drive to the apartment in question. At this point we remove the blotter and throw it away.

Now, I want to take a time out here to mention that there were a few stupid decisions made at this point that could have been avoided and ended up in a generally, in my experience, more pleasurable trip. Firstly, it is an awful idea to drive under the influence of a psychedelic; I cannot overstate this. We were unprepared for the quick onset and D was bent on going to this party while me and K generally, at the time, didn’t feel like this was such a bad idea; the novelty of tripping around people in costumes was especially appealing for me.

Additionally, we thought our only acquaintance at this party would be D and tripping around relative strangers is a bad idea for a multitude of reasons; all stemming from this not being a particularly social drug. When taking a new chemical it’s always important to be comfortable with your surroundings due to the unpredictability of the drug effects. It’s hard for me to meet new people when on a psychedelic because faces distort and may become unrecognizable from their normal state.

T+35:00 – D did not notice a significant increase in effects while driving to the party but for me and K the drive over saw the beginning of the power of this drug take effect. K and I both had stomach problems so we decided to stop at a gas station to buy a drink with milk in it to calm our nausea. I went into the gas station and while I was standing in line I noticed a unique sheen to everything around me by this point I would describe myself at being at a solid ++. People walking into the gas station were followed by trails of light and it became hard to converse with the cashier. K also noticed effects and described the visuals as being very “2C-B” like. I paid for my drink and rejoined K and D in the car whereupon we drove to the party and arrived safely. Sitting in the car I noticed a definite body buzz. The numbing of the lips began to fade at this point and was unnoticeable another 15 minutes later.

T+1:20 – By this point we are all at the party and have been introduced to the hostess and a couple of other people. K and I took a seat on a couch and began both began to peak. The visual effects were astounding, this is definitely the most visual drug I’ve taken besides DMT and I was immersed in a cartoon world of colors and light. Closed visuals were intricate and colorful and more light filled than those in any other drug of my experience, by which I mean aspects of the CEVs had a brightness to them that looked as if someone had been shining a flashlight in my eyes at a distance. I saw many faces simultaneously with my eyes shut and none of them familiar.

As impressive as the visual effects were this was, in everyone’s opinion, a very shallow psychedelic. There was no inkling of personal insight, growth, or spiritualism about it; however colorful and intricate the visuals were. Had I been experiencing visuals like these on LSD my mind would be in another place with no control over the real world, but I felt a surprising control over myself while on this chemical. Had I been on LSD experiencing these same visuals in a setting like a Halloween party I may have been on my way toward a negative trip whereas on this drug I felt very comfortable and in control. This isn’t to say that I didn’t feel an altered headspace, on the contrary, I found it noticeably hard to form words and talk with people but it really didn’t bother me. K also described the experience as cartoonish while D mentioned this being like the first time he tried LSD, a completely unique drug to him (none of have tried any other 2C-X-NBOMe as a comparison point).

T+4:00 - The effects are starting to wear off but the world is still in a definite altered state. At this point J is in the middle of his peak and is enjoying the effects. He is finding it easier to talk than any other person in the group but he’s always the most talkative of the four of us and on the lowest dose. D also found socializing to be apparently easier than K or I, who both have no problems socializing in normal circumstances or under the influence of empathogens like MDMA or 2C-B. However, we thought that this was a truly non-social drug for both of us. Still though, it wasn’t as bad as trying to talk on mushrooms or LSD.

T+5:00 - We leave the party once D decides he is safe to drive home. K still describes the world as appearing cartoonish while I can only see a slight solarization of the colors around me and small visual disturbances. Once at D’s apartment we set out to find a movie on Netflix in the oddest genre we can find and somehow land on “Foreign Art House.” We watch a strange Italian movie about Romans without reading the subtitles and proceed to laugh for the next hour or so uncontrollably due to the odd costumes, foreign subject matter, and general unpredictability and strangeness of the movie. Everyone indulged in a small amount of cannabis but no one really seemed to notice any effect from it.

T+6:00 – Having a project deadline the next day (another bad idea when tripping) K and I decide to drive home from D’s. I notice a slight impairment in my driving abilities but nothing over the equivalent amount of impaired-ness that would be illegal on alcohol. When home, we take a shower and go to bed. After a while not able to sleep we have fantastic sex, for me orgasm felt anti-climactic due to the immense pleasure felt from the sex itself. We eventually sleep and the next morning I felt no ill-effect besides tiredness while K noticed a slight muscle soreness and lethargy. For me, the after-glow was pleasant but K did not notice any.
