I am fairly experienced in psychedelics with many mushroom, LSD, MDA and even DMT experiences (including breakthrough). Yesterday was my first time however trying 2CB. I had done a bit of reading up and as I am fairly visually inclined with my trips I was expecting mild acid-like patterning with some pretty colours. What I got however was FAR FAR more extreme.

2:00 - Swallowed the powder with a few friends (all on the same dosage) and sat back to wait for it to kick in

2:30 - Feeling slightly distant from reality and quite cold

2:40 - First visuals kick in, everything around me starts to swirl a little with slight colour shift (mainly blacks going to a hazy purple) I'm surprised that it is already more visual than expected and move into the bed thinking I may be in for a ride.

2:50 - All hell is breaking loose, I have basically peaked at this point and am experiencing heavier visuals than any LSD or shrooms, I can barely even see the room I'm sat it it is moving so much. Comparable to DMT right before breakthrough.

For the first time ever tripping I am seeing very real things, there are massive vines of light growing up my blinds, the floor looks like a rough ocean with the waves catching the light and reflecting colours like oil in a puddle. I turn to my friend and explain a bit of what's going on, they say they don't really feel anything other than slightly brighter colours and a little more energy.

I close my eyes and enter a equally crazy and beautiful world castles made up from purple light tower over the black backdrop. I enjoy this world for a while before opening my eyes again. I'm glad to see a recognizable room when I do and settle back to listen to some music. For some reason my sub-woofer on the floor catches my eye and before I know it rings of glimmering light are pulsing out of the speakers rim in time to the rhythm. As the first ring approaches my body I can feel a warmth from it. I then feel it rolling over my body with the very physical sensation like a thumb pressing over me everywhere it touched. Finally when it reaches my head I hear the bass noise, somehow in time with the music despite it's journey.

I then look up to my wall where I have all my album covers stuck, all of them blend into one another then my mind somehow selects the pink/orange wings off Disraeli Gears and these shoot out from the cover until they have a wingspan of about 4 meters and appear to glide there gently moving in the breeze of flowing pattern.

More intense visuals of this level continue for the next 15-20 minutes. They are incredibly beautiful to watch and at no point did I feel threatened but I also felt a complete lack of control which only DMT had given me before.

3:30 - The visuals have died down enough for us to go for a walk. We go out to the park, things are still intense but firmly under control now. The sun is going down over a large lake and ducks are making beautiful ripples of colour across it's surface. All colours are bright and the experience was comparable to a mid-level acid trip

6:00 - Virtually nothing left from the drug I've had a smooth lowering back to reality and start to realise how crazy things got!

Overall this was a hugely positive experience and I really enjoyed myself. I have been wondering how it was possible to have such a extreme trip on such a low dose though. I admittedly hadn't eaten all day and as said before am very visually inclined with my trips but to this extent?! I am putting it down to a hypersensitivity to the drug as I know that different people react differently but I think I will be querying it for a while and will no doubt try it again to see if the effects a similarly intense or if it was just that day!
